Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Aperture platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DarkStar Research, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
Account Terms
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service beyond normal API usage
Access and Termination
DarkStar Research, LLC reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or revoke your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. This includes, but is not limited to, violations of these Terms, suspected fraudulent or abusive activity, or any conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We are not liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to the Service.
Service Availability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make reasonable efforts to maintain uptime and reliability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, documentation, and all related materials, is the property of DarkStar Research, LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use it in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DarkStar Research, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that threat intelligence data provided through the Service is complete, accurate, or timely.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers for certain functionality, including but not limited to threat intelligence feeds, data enrichment APIs, artificial intelligence and machine learning services, authentication providers, and infrastructure services. These third-party services operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies.
DarkStar Research has no control over the availability, accuracy, security, data collection practices, or conduct of any third-party service. We are not responsible for any acts, omissions, outages, data processing, or content provided by third-party services, and your use of features that rely on third-party integrations is at your own risk.
We do not endorse, warrant, or assume liability for any third-party service accessible through or integrated with the Service.
AI and Automated Content
The Service may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automated processing to generate summaries, classifications, threat assessments, and other analytical outputs. These outputs are provided for informational purposes only and should not be treated as authoritative, exhaustive, or a substitute for professional judgment.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. DarkStar Research makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated or automated content. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information before acting on it.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DarkStar Research, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) any data, content, or material you submit to or through the Service.
Modifications to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which DarkStar Research, LLC maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the federal or state courts of competent jurisdiction located in said state, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
